I own a 2nd home which had a tenant for the last 4 years. Although I own 3 other buildings with DTE service and, I have had service at all 4, the DTE agent DeVonn could not find anything about me in their system. I had to start all over to reestablish service in my name at the home that was just vacated This all could not be started without my having to give DeVonn my SS #.

Consumers Energy reestablished my service in about 3 minutes w/o any hassle.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $100.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I also moved to a new place and moved my service. At the new place, DTE started charging for bills on a property that I did not even live before or live now.

I asked it to be removed since July, 2017 (now it is Dec. 2017) and called over 20 times, but instead of removing the bill, they sent the bill to a third party debt collector. This is beyond my patience. I am looking into suing DTE.

Thank god that my best friend is a lawyer at Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch, LLP.

Let me know if others have similar problems and would like to join for a class action lawsuit.
