I own a 2nd home which had a tenant for the last 4 years. Although I own 3 other buildings with DTE service and, I have had service at all 4, the DTE agent DeVonn could not find anything about me in their system. I had to start all over to reestablish service in my name at the home that was just vacated This all could not be started without my having to give DeVonn my SS #.
Consumers Energy reestablished my service in about 3 minutes w/o any hassle.
